What is the purpose of Valley Mission Crafts?

Valley Mission crafts is an outreach program linked to a mission in the Philippines. This mission, founded by an American widow, supports an orphanage, a school, a prison ministry, community feeding programs, and gives aid to over 40 churches throughout this vast, island country.

The Philippines has about 32 million desperately poor people, who earn less than $2 per day. There is no government welfare, so the plight of many is critical. To ease this situation, the idea was born that perhaps talented Filipinos, accustomed to working with materials on hand, could produce high quality giftware that Valley Mission Crafts could market in the U.S. and Canada.

Our mission goal is that these gifted craftsmen can earn an honest day's wage in order to provide daily food and essentials for their families. In addition to this, profits are returned to the Philippines to provide further assistance. The Filipinos work with renewable resources and by-products such as coconut shells, rice grass, recycled paper, and pandan (water lily) leaves, so respect for the environment is promoted.

Join us in helping these people...perhaps with an employee sale among your co-workers, a benefit sale in your church, a fund-raiser for students or clubs, or a collective order from family and friends.

Thank you for your interest and participation in this livelihood project.
