Pictured here is Randy. He and his wife and children live in a fishing village in rural Philippines. From making paper pots for the livelihood project, this family was able to build their home. Not only that, they were also able to pay the tuition fee for their oldest child to attend school. Both Randy and his wife worked making paper pots and are very grateful to the Lord and to the difference this project has made in their lives. |

This is Gemma. Before making crafts, the family income was under $2.00 per day. After making paper pots, they were able to renovate their house by buying wood scraps for improving walls as well as flooring for their kitchen. Also, they were able to buy school supplies for their children. Gemma is especially grateful that her husband, who used to stay out late and get drunk, now prefers to stay home and fold magazine papers for craft making! They see the goodness of God in allowing them to earn the extra income from craft making. |
| Story from a group of women |
| A group of women, gathered for Bible study, told their stories of how the paper pot project became a blessing to them. Several times they didn't have money to buy rice and too many hours of idleness caused problems with gambling and fighting. Now they are focused and have a purpose. |
